WOYWW #188

Well again it's Wednesday and thank God that I've made it another week.  This week my desk is tidier than usual.  After making my cards for last nights Stamp Addicts swap I clean and put away my products. Yea Me.!  At the meeting our host showed us this wonderful card/booklet.  Being a slow crafter I didn't finish mine at the meeting so here is my finish product. So check out the other desk around the world sponsored by Julia at Stamping Ground

Also on my desk is my 'Art Journal' challenge with Your Paper Pantry- yourpaperpantry.ning.com.

I have other pictures to share but my computer will not cooperate with me. I am anxious to share my pictures.  Do come back and see what booklet/card looks like on the inside. Thanks Nancy!

Thanks for visiting my blog.

Word of the Year 2013

My word of the year started out being CHERISH, then I thought about it and I said I cherish my moments now, so I thought of another word FINISH then I thought I'm not ready to be finish with my life (maybe some projects). So I thought of another word COMPLETE. Now with this by definition carry out action, It is verb, it carries with it so many great synonyms:

• accomplish, achieve, actualize, bring to fruition, bring to maturity, call it a day, cap, carry off, close, conclude, consummate, crown, determine, develop, discharge, do, do thoroughly, effect, effectuate, elaborate, end, equip, execute, fill, finalize, finish, fulfill, furnish, get through, go the limit, go through with, gowhole hog, halt, make good, make up, perfect, perform, put to bed, realize, refine, round off, round out, settle, sew up, supplement, terminate, ultimate, wind up, wrap up

I have so many unfinished projects and things in general that need to be completed. I'm going to put this word where I can see it EVERY day and live up to it. My word for 2013 is COMPLETE!

Here I have made a banner of sort to display my word of the Year 2013. I found this neat technique on Jann Gray youtube; Creative Play. It is called Distressed Porcelain. The products I used grung paper letters, acrylic paint dabber-shell pink & sail boat blue, distress crackle paint-tattered rose, Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel-clear, paper, lace and flowers, bling. Check out the yt for directions.

Happy New Year to all. We made it to 2013 Thanks God!  I have on my desk this week some dylusion starter pages. I'm enjoying using this spray, just learning and watching a lot of youtube. Not much to say this morning so here's what on my work station.  Check out the others around the country WOYWW 187 on Julie's site Stamping Ground

You see I have spend every dime I had to get all of Dyan Reaverley dylusions sprays. I have them all except the purple. The 2 techniques I used here were the smashing of the 2 pages together, ghosting, a stencil by Dyan & TCW, stamping with Dyan stamps.

This time of year is so busy and happy. I truly love Christmas and promise to always plan ahead. Well it never happens.  I have put up my decorations and made some purchases. I've also trying to remember and remind my family the meaning of this season.  For those of you viewing my blog, on my desk are the Christmas cards I plan to give to my church members. This amazing tour is bought to us by Julia at Stamping Ground. Travel on over and take a tour of other crafty ladies desk. We have a Postmaster at our church that sorts our Christmas cards and gives them to the members.

Merry Christmas to all and Happy Holidays
