WOYWW 185

This time of year is so busy and happy. I truly love Christmas and promise to always plan ahead. Well it never happens.  I have put up my decorations and made some purchases. I've also trying to remember and remind my family the meaning of this season.  For those of you viewing my blog, on my desk are the Christmas cards I plan to give to my church members. This amazing tour is bought to us by Julia at Stamping Ground. Travel on over and take a tour of other crafty ladies desk. We have a Postmaster at our church that sorts our Christmas cards and gives them to the members.

Merry Christmas to all and Happy Holidays

WOYWW #184

Again I'm posting my desk so everyone around the world look at it and see what I'm doing or not doing. Well my desk today is cleaner than usual. I finished a project of making Christmas cards for my RV group and have already given them to my friends.  On my desk now is the 3 boxes I made to hold the Santa Keys I purchased from Michaels to give to my Granddaughters so Santa can come in because they do not have a chimney. So come along with me as I go around the world to other crafters desk to see what's going on.  This challenge is brought to us by Julia over at Stamping Ground. So just go over and see!

These are the Santa Claus key boxes
This is one of the boxes with the key inside. I lined the box with felt. This box was made with medium weight chipboard bottom and the top is pattern Christmas paper. This the the little reindeer above.

Thanks everyone for your comments and those that just look thanks for your visits.

WOYWW #183

It's been a minute since I've shared my desk witih you but here it is. I'm back at my home back studio where all my goodies are. As you can see there are remnants of Christmas cards etc.  I have finished a few but they are not pictured. What is pictured is a project I just completed and delivered last night to a crafty friend of mind. It is a perpetual calendar. I used some lost and found paper for the front and other random line for the months.  The back and sides were from a bag I got from a store in Florida.

My workstation in Fl.
This another Wednesday and I'm showing you my workstation.  Well this time you may notice that it looks different well, it is. This is in my Florida home. I had to have a place to do my crafts while others are doing what they do.  We found this great table and it fits nicely in this corner by the kitchen cabinet that is now my wine and crafts area. I need to make me a sign for that. Maybe that will be my next project.  Well on my desk is an easel card that I made for my son's girlfriend.
Happy Thanksgiving to all.! Check out Julia over at the Stamping Ground, where you can visit all over the world and snoop into the craft rooms of other ladies, and gents if we have any.
I use the cabinet for my craft storage. I will have another place for food and pots and pans and other kitchen items that could go here. Oh Well! my crafts need a space 1st.
This is the top of the cabinet. I did allow for my wine and wine glasses. That is essential to crafting.

A Christmas Card

This is the front of my card inspired by
The STAMPIN' UP catalogue.

This the inside of the card inspired from the
STAMPIN' UP Catalogue

The card above was a challenge to myself. It started a a retreat I was at when my STAMPIN' UP demonstrator gave me the new catalogue.  Well ok on page 181 is a snap shot of the inside of a card that I thought was cute.  It took me a couple weeks off  and on to make this card but I was determined to finish it so there you have it.

If you would like the directions on how to make this card leave me a comment along with a way to email it to you.

Thanks for looking.

What's on Your Workstation Wednesday #177

So this is what I'm working on. I was at a retreat this weekend and I was given a Stampin' UP!  and in that book I saw a card that I liked and I began to try to make it. Well it didn't work there so I look again at it and tried it again at home and 2nd picture is what I came up with hopefully I will finish it this week.  Thanks for looking at my blog and your comments. I will make my blog hopping tonight.

Myrtle Beach Retreat

Myrtle Beach Retreat
Just getting back from a fantastic weekend in Myrtle Beach, SC.  I went down on Friday afternoon and we scraped into the wee hours in the morning. More like 3:30 am. Got up the next day my roomie and I and went to breakfast or rather brunch around 11:30 am well closer to 12:00 but we still had breakfast at Cracker Barrel. We left there with the help of WAZE (a navigation app on my roomie's phone) and went to ACM. Myrtle Beach ACM is much better than mine. May have to go back to pay them a visit soon.  We got back to the retreat and scraped again until 3 am again.
Here are a few of the pictures of our weekend.

WOYSW #176

Another Wednesday is upon us. I'm a little late posting today. I had to keep my 2 year old granddaughter today because I think she might have picked up a 24 hour virus. So, I'm just getting a chance to put up my WOYSW. I'm participating again this week with Julie over at Stamping Ground. This is so cool you get to go around the world and see what everyone has on there desk and what they are working on. So Amazing!!
Thanks Julie for this opportunity.
Just a little more organized today

This is my regular smash book
with a copy of the invitation to  Earvin "Magic " Johnson.

WOYWW #175

Well, again I show you my desk for the challenge offered to us over at the Stamping Ground. Go visit her and play along.  Since last week I've finished several projects mailed them yesterday and continue to work on my Tim Holtz smash book. I really have 2 of them started. One of them is for my trip to Florida to his class, which was just so amazing and the other is some random smash and techniques learned along the way. Oh,  I have started getting into Dylan Reavers Dylusions ink sprays. They are really fantastic. Not like the other sprays. These seem to take to paper better for some reason. The color I used that is showing in the picture is London Blue.

Oh! Tim was on his 'A Game'

Sunday evening, 2:30 pm to be exact, I was in Wildwood, rather The Villages at She Scrapbooks store. Tim Holtz was there teaching classes. I was blessed to have the opportunity to be in his class. We did the 'configuration box'. He supplied everything we need, paper (already cut and scored), tissue tape in the tape dispensers, inks, applicators, stains, glue, glossy accent, Claudine Hellmuth studio matte & glossy multi-medium. We were surrounded with ephemera, trinkets, all kinds of objects to put in our box.  The class was so overwhelming that I couldn't finish it in class, I wasn't the only one that didn't get to finish it but we got to bring all our great stuff with us. Here are some pictures not the finish item yet. Stay tune for the finished box.
This where the Tim Holtz classes were held.
